All through the spring, summer, and fall, this sound becomes foreign to us residents of California. However, in the winter of 2016, we were experiencing an atmospheric river storm which was dumping steady downpours for hours and hours. I set up a mic in our bathroom to capture the sound of the rain hitting the skylight.
Then I composed this tune to go along with it.
The sound of Little J the dog shaking himself out just occurred by happy accident. I'm very glad JJ is represented on the record! And once he made that sound, I knew I had to include Ninacat on there as well. So I recorded one of her tiny kitty mews to put there next to Little J.
I feel like this song makes for a really nice comedown and change of pace after the BOSS BATTLE. This is like the cleansing rain that falls after you have defeated the evil Droughtboss!
